Taylor’s filmmaking journey was inspired by his Filipino uncles—one a photographer, the other a filmmaker. Self-taught, his career led him to Los Angeles, where he worked with Diesel Films and earned a 2013 Sports Emmy for the NFL’s “NFL UP!” series. As a Video Producer for the University of Washington, he honed his skills in short documentaries and marketing content. His film Through the Ground Glass earned a Vimeo Staff Pick, went viral, and was an official selection at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2014. As a freelance director and cinematographer, he’s worked with major brands like Amazon, Nike, and Starbucks. His film Medieval Martha Stewart won multiple awards and was selected for SIFF and PDXFF in 2018. Taylor’s most recent film, The Racing Line, was nominated for Best Short Documentary at the 2023 International Motor Film Awards. He is currently in post-production on his first feature, Two Medicine, a story about a Blackfeet family’s journey of generational healing through Indian Relay Racing.
